EGS Conducts Online School Exams amid COVID-19 Pandemic

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) decided to abolish the National Examination (UN) in 2020. This decision is part of the Corona pandemic response system or COVID-19, one of which is the priority of public health safety. Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Anwar Makarim said the risk of UN implementation was very high. He emphasized that the cancellation of the 2020 National Examination was done for the safety of students in Indonesia also their families and grandparents.

With this, Nadiem revealed alternatives related to the final exams in each school. Educational institutions can still do school exams, on the condition that they are not allowed to do face-to-face tests that make students gather in the classroom. School exams can be done online or by an assessment of the final grades collected and other school achievements.

One of them is Edu Global School, a school that implements Online School Exams. All students work on exam questions using their laptop or computer at home. Previously, the Online School Examination simulation had been conducted with the aim that no students were confused in accessing the exam questions. Besides, it also involves parents in the supervision of the Online School Examination held at home.
