UMPTN is an abbreviation of the “Ujian Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri”. In addition, the UMPTN is also commonly known as the Ujian Mandiri or Seleksi Mandiri. The difference with the SBMPTN, the UMPTN pathway is organized by each PTN. UMPTN is a test intended for students who do not pass the SNMPTN / SBMPTN test selection.
One of the favorite state universities in Indonesia, Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD) always holds an Seleksi Mandiri every year. The UNPAD Seleksi Mandiri was given the name SMUP, which stands for “Seleksi Masuk Universitas Padjadjaran”. In 2019, UNPAD S1 can also be selected through SMUP, because UNPAD Ujian Mandiri is usually only opened for D4, S2 and S3 study programs. This Ujian Mandiri has a capacity of 22.9% of the total capacity of UNPAD, or around 1,400 people.
